The Auburn Lions Club, as a part of Lions International, places a strong emphasis on aiding the visually impaired. This fall, over 3000- schoolchildren were screened by the club for vision problems. As a part of its program, ophthalmologist Dr. Jeffrey Weeks (right) spoke to the club on November 10 about the latest developments in eye care. He described several advances in imaging, making possible clearer and more detailed images of the eye for treatment, and then he described recent developments in retinal, corneal, and cataract surgery and in the treatment of glaucoma. Pictured with Dr. Weeks is Club Treasurer Ed Williams.
