On November 15, Wade McKinney (left) of Storybook Farms Community Relations and Grant Development spoke to the Auburn Lions Club about the history and program of Storybook Farms. Started 16 years ago with the concept that children with special needs (there are 125 different kinds) can benefit by contact with horses (equine therapy), it has doubled in size and expanded to include other animals. It has also expanded into horticultural therapy with a vegetable garden. Pictured also is Club President Keith Ryland. The Auburn Lions Club supports Storybook Farms and contributed $500 at this meeting. For more information, call 334-444-5966.
