Philip Wright Speaks to Club About Boy Scouts of America

On December 13, Philip Wright (left), Saugahatchee District Executive, Boy Scouts of America, spoke to the Auburn Lions Club about their program in career guidance. They are particularly concerned with the opportunities in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) field, where opportunities abound and it is hard to get students to take an early interest so they can properly prepare themselves. Starting as early as the fourth grade, Scouts are introduced to robots and start programming and learning coding. Pictured with Wright is Club President Keith Ryland. The Auburn Lions Club supports Scouting and contributed $500. For more information, call 334-329-6159.
